(whom I strongly dislike.) so (couple of days inbetween this and the following comment) this famous perfume I probably acquired in 2014 or, either, seen my review with the same appèl (appeal) about its riche 'Pochette' on notes in 2017, I can have it bought thèn. in any case it was an early batch. now that I am 68½ years old, and have subconsciously gathered a 'Collection' of 290 perfumes during 2000 (and of course since 1974 to 2000) and also have at least given 300+ perfumes away to my female nurse colluegues, rendering them 'too light', which was ridiculous, but you have to maintain a criterium for your 'stash'. but honestly I never saw it that way and now it really dawns upon me like a freight train that I will be never able to use all of them. you must imagine how dreamy and subconsciously and otherworldly I am with my brother once saying to a sales assistent, from which I would receive advise about a Cell-phone (Smartphone) but to whose info I just pretended to listen (I didn't comprehended much) because he had such beautiful raven eyelashes, my [straight] twinbrother said: 'you can better adress it to me bc he is from another planet ...'. now Maai, I remember all the commotion and commentaries the perfume got and then it always was: 'I HAVE TO HAVE IT'. but apparently I have worn it and I remember finding it a fabulous [Amber] perfume. but hey, there is still 90% in the bottle. and THAT is the consequence of my age and subconsciously kept on buying (not Collecting) perfumes. they disappeared behind the new stock, time and again. and I gave half of them away anyway. and now the bottle suddenly came under my attention. then we had the same sensation again of an older perfume, heavy, heady, dense, syrupy, which ESCAPED as a ghost out of that bottle. and the unusual cap of quasi-rubber seemed precisely fit to hold the fumes inside (although I smelled them). first it appeared the perfume had turned. but NEVER a perfume has turned with (on) me. they all stayed perfectly integer, consistent. perhaps this (unchangeability) is more the case with perfumes which are themselves already rock-like, granite-like, dense as hell. what I DID smell however was the irrecivocable PISS scent of civet. but I love it. but then I got this weird smell of a concoction of earth, smoke, ground, an Oud-like deep, intense unearthed wood, a petrified wood. a paleontological smell of something unearthed. a grave smell. but not so much barnyard like but more a Petrichor on steroids. first it was uneasy but I just knew it had to settle with time. and say after an hour it did and until now each time I spray I get this wonderful perfume with both an inimpenentrable WALL of scent as also a differentiated smell of the plentiful used notes. "Tuberose, rose, jasmine, ylang ylang, civet, castoreum, hyraceum, dried fruits, sandalwood, oakmoss, Siam benzoin, rosewood, [eucalyptus], [ambergris]." but to me the Roses come first, further the Jasmine, Civet, Castoreum, Hyrax, the Tuberose & Ylang Ylang. they all came to the fore, simultaneously but also perceptably in their own right. it was an exquise experience. this is a wonderful, magical perfume with the woods also speaking, with a noticeable Ambergris (however nowhere stated), the Eucalyptus but also Pine & Menthol, Sandelwood, Oakmoss, Rosewood, Benzoin and I also have read Tolu Balm. that was precisely the sensation ! a Scentsation. now I have revived the Momie, the Mummie and unwinded her from not an eternal but a Medieval Castle Sleep. and her eyelids as Rose Petals (nicked from Rilke) opened.
