The opening is fresh, almost sharp, with spices taking center stage. Ginger and turmeric smell as though they have just been freshly ground, radiating their warming, spicy aroma. As the fragrance unfolds, the composition softens as florals and warm hay emerge, the latter evoking the scent of grass gently warmed in a summer meadow. Gradually, the fragrance becomes drier and warmer, settling into a woody base. It is a fragrance built on contrasts, combining the tingling sharpness of spices with the smoothness of florals and woods. Warm and velvety, yet sharp and full of character. This is not the delicately rendered ginger of Twilly by Hermès. Here, it is ginger straight from an oriental spice market. Despite this richness, the composition remains remarkably ethereal. Even on fabric it does linger moderately long, and the sillage quickly settles into a skin scent. Generous application and regular reapplication will allow you to fully enjoy it, because it is truly a fragrance worth discovering.
