Review of Fleur de Santal by Olga Steinfeld

A very unusual sandalwood fragrance for me. It opens with bright pink pepper with citrus facets. Then I'm gently enveloped by a powdery, milky accord with a floral echo. It smells like dry wood warmed by the sun, with flowers laid upon it - very beautiful and soft. A subtle saltiness emerges in the drydown. The fragrance develops quite linearly, with the powdery, milky accord lingering from beginning to end. Longevity is around 5-6 hours. So far, I haven't come across anything quite like it.
