A fresh, sharp, cold citrus fragrance. These are not the “joyful” citrus fruits of sunny Italy. It is more like a crisp drink on a hot day: a fogged-up glass of ice-cold gin and tonic with slices of bitter grapefruit, ice cubes, and sharp spices. As the fragrance unfolds, grapefruit and pepper remain at the forefront. The other notes do not project volume, their nuances merely support and frame the two central accords. The spicy, peppery opening smoothly transitions into a citrus heart: cold, almost icy, fresh, and slightly bitter. Peony adds a barely perceptible touch of sweetness, while angelica evokes the sensation of green leaves crushed between the fingers, enhancing the freshness of the grapefruit pulp. Toward the drydown, a subtle salty nuance of mate appears, while the sweetness becomes slightly more pronounced. For a citrus fragrance, Poivre Pomelo shows quite good longevity. In summer, it creates a sense of coolness and freshness. The scent feels neutral and works well for both women and men.
