Chœur des Anges was the fragrance that made me fall in love with Atelier des Ors. I still remember the first time I saw it on the display. It immediately caught my eye: an elegant Art Deco-inspired bottle with delicate gold flakes slowly drifting through the fragrance. The moment I tried it, I had the feeling that I was breathing in pure light. It is incredibly luminous, sparkling, and warm. It opens with sweet blood orange and a ghostly woody note. Within a few minutes, rich honey begins to emerge, as if it were slowly dripping over slices of orange, accompanied by the subtle tartness of blackcurrant. For some reason, the fragrance gradually becomes saltier and more mineral-like, though I still can't figure out which note creates that effect. The salty facet reminds me of the scent released when you gently press on a fresh orange peel with your fingers. As the honey and orange begin to fade, the fragrance transforms into a rich floral nectar with a soft powdery touch. In the drydown, I smell sweet-and-salty candied orange peel. Unfortunately, the longevity is rather disappointing, lasting only about 2–3 hours... Even so, I still absolutely love it. It is the happiest and most uplifting fragrance I have ever experienced.💛
